Simverse

What is a job simulation and how does it work?

A job simulation is a realistic working day at a fictional company where you do the actual work of a role — writing and testing code, reviewing pull requests, handling incidents, answering colleagues — instead of answering quiz questions. At Simverse, you get an inbox, team chat, tickets and a real code editor, your decisions change what happens, and you get a report on each skill you used.

How a Simverse simulation works

  1. 01You step into a role at a fictional company — for example, your first day as a software engineer.
  2. 02You get a real workspace: email, team chat, tickets, data and a code editor, side by side.
  3. 03You do the work: write and test code, review a pull request, reply to colleagues, make calls. People react and deadlines move.
  4. 04At the end you get a report scoring each skill you used, with the moments from your own work behind each point.

What it measures

A simulation looks at what you did, not just whether a final answer was right: the code you wrote and whether your tests caught the edge cases, how you handled a risky review, how clearly you communicated, and the decisions you made when the task was ambiguous.

Practise this

See it for yourself — do a real first day on a payments team and read the report it produces.

How Simverse scores it (and what it can't do)

Scores are generated by software from the work you do in the simulation. They're a practice signal to show strengths and gaps, and they use AI to interpret open-ended work. They are not a prediction of whether you'll be hired, and they aren't shared with employers.

A simulation is a realistic practice environment, not the real job. It can't reproduce a specific company's codebase, team or pressure exactly — treat it as a way to build and measure skills, not a guarantee of any outcome.

Stop guessing. Do the work.
