Don't just chase
the job.Prove you can do it.

Step into realistic workplace simulations, tackle the kind of problems teams face every day, and see what you can do.

  • Realistic workplace scenarios
  • A record of your simulation work
  • Feedback on every skill you use

11 simulations across 6 roles · Free during the beta · 30–40 minutes each

A Simverse simulation in Slack: the participant posts a standup plan for a Jira ticket and their senior engineer replies.

Explore by role

Real roles.
Realistic work.No theory.

Step into realistic workplace scenarios across different roles. Each simulation is built around the kind of tasks, decisions and trade-offs you'll face on the job.

How Simverse works

A working day, not a course.

No videos and no multiple choice. You get a role, a team and a problem, and your work decides what happens next.

  1. The Simverse catalogue: the daily challenge, the weekly contest and filters by role and level

    01

    Choose a role

Pick the job you want to try, at your experience level: fresher or 1–3 years.

  2. The simulated workstation: a Slack conversation with the team lead about the first ticket

    02

    Enter the workplace

An inbox, team chat, tickets, data and documents. Your manager has already messaged you.

  3. A coding task in the VS Code-style editor, with the failing tests in the terminal

    03

    Do the work

Write the code, run the query, take the call, make the call. People react and deadlines move.

  4. A sample report from a test run: a role fit of 88 with its confidence

    04

    See how you did

An assessment of every skill you used, with the evidence and how an experienced professional would have handled it.

Your results

Evidence of what you can do.

After every simulation you see how you performed on each skill you used, and why. Over time this becomes a record of your simulation work: skills you have shown, not just claimed.

  • What you did wellThe decisions and work that scored highest, with the moments behind them.
  • Where you can improveSpecific gaps, tied to what happened in your simulation.
  • How a professional would approach itFor every decision, the strongest response and why it works.

After your first simulation

One simulation is the start, not the score.

Simverse is free during the beta. The first two steps are here today; the rest are being built with our first users and partners.

  1. 01Available now

    Experience the work

Try a realistic task for a role you're interested in, at a fictional company, in the tools that team would use.

  2. 02Available now

    Understand your skills

See what you did well and where you can improve, with the moments from your simulation behind each point.

  3. 03In beta

    Build capability

Use your feedback to decide what to practise next: a suggested next simulation, a daily challenge and weekly contests.

  4. 04Coming soon

    Discover opportunities

Explore relevant roles and new challenges as they become available. We're building this with our first partners.

For companies and communities

Hiring, or running a club? Work with us.

Simverse is in an open beta and company tools are still in development. We're looking for a first group of companies, startups, colleges and coding communities to pilot with. Tell us what you're interested in and we'll get back to you within two working days.

Company tools in development

  • For companies and startups

Explore sharing job and internship opportunities with people who have shown the skills in a simulation, as an early pilot partner.

    Explore a pilot
  • For coding clubs and communities

Explore running a practical skills contest for your members. We're piloting club contests with a realistic working-day challenge and a shared leaderboard.

Pilot partnerships, job opportunities or a community contest: tell us what you have in mind. Nothing is a commitment, and company tools are still in development.

Your first working day

Experience the job before you apply.

Pick a role, tackle a realistic workplace challenge, and see how you performed. Your first simulation takes about 40 minutes.
